Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013060457A1] A method for the automatic removal of an excess of carbon in a gasification reactor (1) having a reaction chamber (4) for the autothermal and/or allothermal gasification of carbon-containing fuel to form useful gases should make it possible to realize particularly high efficiency and particularly high operational reliability while placing lower demands on the fuel used during operation of a gasification reactor. For this purpose, in the event of a predefined value characteristic of the amount of excess carbon in the reaction chamber (4) being exceeded, the composition, amount, pressure, speed, temperature and/or specific outlet pulse of a gasification agent metered into the reaction chamber (4) are changed such that a combustion of the excess of carbon is intensified.
