[origin: WO2013060882A1] The invention relates to a heat exchanger comprising a block (2) which has ribs (9) and tubes (8) and which is arranged between a first collecting box (3) in particular for introducing a medium to be cooled and a second collecting box (4) in particular for discharging said medium. Each collecting box (3, 4) is closed off by a base (5, 6) which has eyelets (12) for receiving the tubes (8), and a trough-shaped circulating section (14) for receiving the collecting box (3, 4) extends along the edge of the base (5, 6). The base (5, 6) has an elevated contact region (16) on at least one end face (13) for the tube (8a, 8b) which lies directly opposite the end face (13) in order to allow a stable structure of the heat exchanger with collecting boxes comprising a trough-shaped depression.
