Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013060639A1] A method for operating a communications system (9) and a correspondingly equipped communications system for wireless vehicle-to-environment communication are described, wherein different information is transmitted as signals on different radio channels (CCH, SCH) depending on content, wherein the communications system (9) has at least two reception paths (P1, P2) with each having at least one independent antenna and an associated independent receiver for receiving the transmitted signals. The communications system (9) is designed to switch between two operating modes if a switchover criterion (U1, U2) is fulfilled, wherein at least two receive paths (P1, P2) receive signals on a variable radio channel (CCH, SCH) in the first operating mode and receive signals on the same radio channel (CCH or SCH) in the second operating mode.
