[origin: EP2774877A1] The gripping device (10) has an actuating unit for opening and closing the gripping arm pairs (11-13). The actuating unit is provided with a camshaft (30) which is rotatably supported in a base element (20). The base element is formed as a sheet metal element. The sheet metal element is provided with a U-shaped profile portion. The sheet metal element is provided with two mutually parallel bearing flanges (21,22). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a transportation device for transportation of bottle, can or liquid container; and (2) a method for manufacturing a gripping device.
