[origin: EP2778523A1] The device (26) comprises a slag inlet (22) for introducing the slag into a slag processing chamber (24), is arranged facing a slag outlet (62). A slag processing rust (30) is provided for cooling and promoting the slag towards the slag outlet. A fine slag discharge space (34) is connected to the chamber for discharging a fine fraction of the slag through an opening of the outlet. A coarse slag discharge space (64) is opened for receiving a coarse fraction of the slag. An air supply unit is provided in the rust for controllable supply of the air to the slag outlet. An independent claim is included for a method for processing a slag through a slag processing device.
