Abstract (en)

The method involves setting gap width of a ring gap (18) formed between a turntable (12) and a work container (10) by regulation. Air pressure arising in a region of the gap is measured on a pressure side, and the turntable and the container are moved toward one another. A relative position of the turntable and the container is defined as a reference value for the width of zero. A constant gap width is set based on the defined relative position for determining the gap width of zero. The gap width is indirectly measured through temperature in the region of the gap. An independent claim is also included for a sliding cross section machine comprising a work container.

Bei einem Verfahren zur automatischen Spalteinstellung bei Gleitschliffmaschinen mit Drehteller wird die Spaltweite zwischen Drehteller und Arbeitsbehälter durch eine Regelung automatisch eingestellt, wobei ein Referenzwert für die Spaltweite von Null ermittelt wird.
