Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2013075791A1] The present invention relates to an apparatus for deconstructing smoking articles (12) or semifinished smoking articles (12), wherein the smoking articles (12) or semi-finished smoking articles (12) comprise a combination of smoking article sections. The apparatus comprises a dividing unit (3), wherein the dividing unit (3) is adapted to create a stream comprising smoking articles (12) or semi-finished smoking articles (12) with a pre-determined configuration of smoking article sections from a stream of smoking articles (12) or semi-finished smoking articles (12) comprising a variety of configurations of smoking article sections. Additionally, the apparatus comprises a further processing means for further processing the individual streams of smoking articles (12) or semifinished smoking articles (12), wherein the further processing means comprises a reorientation unit (4), wherein the reorientation unit (4) is adapted to change the orientation of smoking articles or semi-finished smoking articles with a pre-determined configuration of smoking article sections from a first orientation into a second, opposite orientation. The invention further relates to a method for deconstructing smoking articles (12) or semi-finished smoking articles (12).
