[origin: WO2013076224A1] The present invention relates to a latch (1) having a push member for a movable panel of a motor vehicle, including: a push member (3) capable of being translatably actuated by a user with a view to opening a movable panel, said latch (1) including a mechanism (7) for locking the push member (3), said mechanism having a lower inertial mass than the push member (3) and engaging with the latter such that, in a passive position, the mechanism (7) for locking the push member (3) inhibits the axial movement of the push member (3), thereby preventing the opening of the movable panel, and, in an active position, when the push member (3) and the locking mechanism (7) are actuated together, the locking mechanism allows the axial translation of the push member (3), thereby enabling the movable panel to be opened.
