[origin: EP2597665A1] The switch has circuit breaker chamber (41b) for single-pole operation having two contact pieces (20a,20b) with respective contact regions (21) and chamber (41a) multi-pole operation. An electrically conductive bridge circuit (30) has two contact regions (31) for establishing an electrically conductive connection between the contact regions (21,31) and for separating second contact regions from first contact regions. The bridge circuit can be moved by a contact bridge (35). A magnetic field is produced by two magnets (51a,51b) arranged outside the chambers (41b,41a).
