The base is made of a foldable material, such as cardboard, corrugated cardboard or paperboard and has side walls, a contact area formed by base flaps (9) for positioning on a ground, and a receiving area formed by cover flaps (15,16). The receiving area is turned away from the contact area. The side walls are erected from a transport state to a use state, in which they form a tubular hollow edge defined by inner side walls (5,6,7,8) and outer side walls (1,2,3,4). The inner side walls are connected with each other by pivoting flaps (10). An independent claim is included for a blank for manufacturing a base.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Sockel aus einem faltbaren Material, wie Pappe, Wellpappe oder Karton. Der Sockel weist äußere Seitenwände (1, 2, 3, 4) und innere Seitenwände (5, 6, 7, 8) sowie Bodenlaschen (9) und Deckellaschen (15, 16) auf. Aus einem flach aufeinanderliegenden Transportzustand ist der Sockel in einen Gebrauchszustand aufrichtbar, in welchem die Seitenwände zusammen mit den Bodenlaschen und Deckellaschen einen ringförmigen Hohlrand bilden. Erfindungsgemäß sind die inneren Seitenwände über aneinander angelenkte Schwenklaschen (10) miteinander verbunden. Weiter betrifft die Erfindung einen Zuschnitt zur Herstellung eines derartigen Sockels.
