[origin: EP2783618A2] The floor care appliance has a motor and a manual power controller for controlling the motor. A handle is provided for performing (A03) manual selection of a desired operating power of the motor by a user. An automatic power control of the motor is performed to operate (A02) the motor automatically with a fixed automatic operating power instead of the manually selected desired operating power, when turning on (A01) the motor of floor care apparatus. An independent claim is included for energy saving method for floor care apparatus.
