Abstract (en)
There is provided a paper sheet stacking device which can stably store, even in the case of a top bill of stacked bills being in a state different from its original state, succeeding bills. A conveyer belt (24) is looped on rollers placed over and at both ends of a paper sheet storage part and bill holding members (25) for holding bills (20) are fixed onto an outer surface of the conveyer belt (24) at determined interval. The bill holding members (25) themselves have grip force by which the conveyer belt (24) bends inward, and hold the bills (20) by the grip force. When the bill holding members (25) pass over the roller on a reception side, their free ends (25c) get apart from the conveyer belt (24) and the bill holding members (25) receive the bills (20). When the bill holding members (25) pass between the rollers, the bill holding members (25) grip portions near ends of the bills (20). When the bill holding members (25) pass under the roller on a release side, their free ends (25c) get apart from the conveyer belt (24). The bill holding members (25) release the bills (20), make the bills (20) fall onto stacked bills, and stack and store the bills (20).
