[origin: WO2013079186A1] The invention relates to a packaging machine and method for filling pouches (2), said packaging machine having a supporting structure (15) on which at least one filling pot (3) is mounted. The filling pot (3), with which a weighing device (25) and a filling nozzle (4) are associated, comprises a conveying element (24). A control device (7) is provided. The filling pot (3) is retained so as to be decoupled from the supporting structure (15) and the associated filling nozzle (4) and is weighed separately by the associated weighing device (25) in order to divert a predefined quantity of a product (27) to be filled from the filling pot (3) by a differential weighing process and to fill said quantity into the pouch (2) via the filling nozzle (4). The control device (7) controls an intensity of a volume flow (47) into the pouch (2) during the filling process over time such that a fill level (52) of the product (27) to be filled is kept high during the filling process while the product is prevented from overflowing.
