[origin: WO2013079459A1] The invention relates to a spliced cord end (1) forming a loop, comprising a cord end piece (3), folded back to form the loop (2), and a cord section (4) leading to the loop, wherein a splice region (5) is provided, in which the cord end piece (3) is guided within the cord section (4) leading to the loop and wherein the cord is a core/sheath cord. The cord end according to the invention is characterized in that a part of the core (8), preferably the entire core (8), is removed in the cord end section (3) in the splice region (5), in that load-bearing stitching (6) of the cord end piece (3) to the cord section (4) leading to the loop is provided in the splice region (5) and in that load-bearing stitching (6) is provided in a region (4a) of the cord section (4) leading to the loop which comprises part of the core (8), preferably the entire core (8).
