[origin: WO2013083903A1] This switching method consists in switching the percussive tool on, operating a control device (16) designed to vary the striking stroke of the striking piston (1) between a short striking stroke and a long striking stroke so as to cause the percussive tool to operate with a short striking stroke for a predetermined length of time following implement switch-on, and in acting on the control device (16) so as to allow the percussive tool, after the predetermined length of time has elapsed, to operate on a long striking stroke.
