Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013083559A1] The invention relates to a method for starting an internal combustion engine (4) in a hydraulic hybrid drivetrain (1) of a motor vehicle which comprises at least one hydraulic machine (8) in addition to the internal combustion engine (4). The aim of the invention is to optimize the operation of an internal combustion engine in a hydraulic hybrid drivetrain of a motor vehicle, in particular with respect to the emissions released when starting the internal combustion engine. This is achieved in that the internal combustion engine (4) is brought to a target rotational speed by means of a hydraulic machine (8) or by means of an additional hydraulic machine, said target rotational speed being greater than a starting rotational speed of the internal combustion engine (4).
