Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013083217A1] The invention relates to a method for monitoring the function of a pump (1) which is driven by an electric motor and which has an internal electronic system (4), functional parameters of the pump (1) being monitored by means of said electronic system. The internal electronic system (4) forwards the values of the functional parameters to a central control device (8) via an internal communication interface (6), and the values of the functional parameters are detected and monitored with respect to critical thresholds in the central control device (8). The invention is characterized in that the change over time of at least one value of the functional parameters is detected in the central control device (8), and a fault of the pump (1) is determined if a value of at least one functional parameter remains constant beyond a specified period of time. The preferred use is in the region of a vehicle (F).
