Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013083831A1] The invention relates to a method for adjusting a tripping unit (1) for a safety switch, wherein the tripping unit (1) has a first current path (2) as part of a magnetic tripping device (3), and wherein the tripping unit (1) has a second current path (4) as part of a bimetallic tripping device (5). According to the invention, a specifiable test current is applied to the tripping unit (1), a partial current in one of the two current paths (2, 4) is measured, and a cross-section at one of the two current paths (2, 4) is reduced on the basis of the magnitude of the measured partial current.
