[origin: WO2013091712A1] The fastener element (10) comprises a metal body (11) having a coupling portion (12) and a tape retaining portion (13), wherein the tape retaining portion (13) has two essentially parallel, flat, main surfaces (20, 21) and forms two confronting arms (16), which are adapted to clamp a fastener tape (20) there between. The tape retaining portion (13) is provided with at least one protrusion (30), which is provided on an edge portion of at least one of the main surfaces (20, 21) of the tape retaining portion (13).
