[origin: WO2013093222A1] The invention relates to a method for isomerizing an aromatic fraction comprising at least one aromatic compound having eight carbon atoms per molecule, which comprises contacting said fraction with at least one catalyst including at least one metal of Group VIII of the periodic table of the elements, at least one zeolite support including a zeolite selected from among the zeolites having an EUO and MOR structure type, taken alone or in a mixture, and at least one matrix, such that the specific surface area of the matrix in the zeolite support of said catalyst is between 5 and 200 m2/g.
