[origin: WO2013092470A1] The present invention refers to an apparatus for realizing a long-range radio link. The apparatus comprises a plurality of receiving antennas, each of which is suitable to simultaneously receive at least one pair of overlapping electromagnetic waves with the same carrier frequency but different orbital angular momenta (OAMs). The apparatus according to the invention comprises electronic means capable of obtaining data indicative of the difference between the OAMs of said electromagnetic waves. A further aspect of the present invention refers to a method for realizing a long-range radio link.
