Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Regelung einer Taupunkttemperatur eines Wärmebehandlungsofens (100) für eine Wärmebehandlung von Werkstücken (102), sowie einen Wärmebehandlungsofens (100) für eine Wärmebehandlung von Werkstücken (102), wobei Stickstoff und Luft dem Wärmebehandlungsofen (100) zugeführt werden und eine Menge an zugeführtem Stickstoff basierend auf einem in dem Wärmebehandlungsofen (100) bestimmten Ist-Wert der Taupunkttemperatur derart bestimmt wird, dass der Ist-Wert der Taupunkttemperatur durch die bestimmte Menge an zugeführtem Stickstoff auf einen Soll-Wert geregelt wird.
