[origin: WO2013098351A1] The invention relates to a method for determining heading information in a terminal (12), said method comprising the following steps: at least one step of determining a point for locating the terminal; a step of determining a first heading value from the terminal by self-contained heading-determining means (19, 20) built into the terminal; a step of comparing the first heading value determined by the self-contained heading-determining means built into the terminal with at least one preferred directional value related to location of the terminal; and a step of determining a second heading value on the basis of the result of said comparison.
