[origin: WO2013042158A2] A device (100, 101) for forming a fabric (3) recessed selvedge in shuttleless looms, substantially comprising a gripping and cutting group (1), suitable to grip and cut the tail or end of the weft yarn (2) that protrudes from an edge of at least one fabric (3), a hook group (4), which includes a hook or needle (5) around which the weft yarn end (2) is wrapped, two first rods (7, 8), parallel to each other and able to drive the gripping and cutting group (1), and at least one second rod (9), parallel to the first rods (7, 8) and able to drive the hook (4); in particular, each rod (7, 8, 9) is connected to a respective carriage (10, 11, 12), which is driven, in turn, to move linearly by means of a respective first pair of conjugated cams (13, 14, 15), while the hook group (4) is driven with an oscillating rotary motion through a second pair of conjugated cams (16), acting on a lever (18), which, in turn, drives a sleeve (20) to rotate, said second rod (9) longitudinally sliding inside the sleeve (20).
