Abstract (en)
The present application in particular is related to a cooking oven (1). The oven (1) comprises a main body (2) with a cavity (3) and a side-opening door (4) configured for closing the cavity (3). The door (4) is hingedly attached to the main body (2). The oven (1) further comprises a damping element (6) which bridges between the door (4) and the main body (2) and is adapted to at least one of damping an opening movement of the door (4) and damping a closing movement of the door (4).
