Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013107953A1] The subject matter of the present invention is a fire seal in the form of a self-adhesive strip (1), in particular for fire-resistant glazing (5), said strip (1) having two wide opposing faces, whereof one forms the backing (1b) of the strip, between which a core (2) of fibrous material extends having a front side covered with an adhesive (3) whereof the outer face has adhesive strength allowing the strip (1) to adhere permanently to a support surface (6), and a rear side. The rear side is permanently covered, for the protection thereof, by a protective film (4) whereof the outer face forms said backing and is designed to allow, in a rolled-up state of the strip, temporary adherence of the outer face of the adhesive to the backing, while allowing the latter to be separated when the roll is unrolled, without reducing or destroying said adhesive strength.
