[origin: WO2014187753A1] The invention relates to a window (1) or a door with a fixed frame (2), a leaf (3) which can be moved relative to the fixed frame (2) between at least one open position and a closed position, a fitting (11) for locking and unlocking the window (1) or door, and an arrangement (4) for supporting the opening movement of the leaf (3) relative to the fixed frame (2) of the window (1) or the door. The window or door comprises a spring device (5) which has a spring element (7), and a clamping element (10) is provided which clamps the spring element (7) when the window (1) or the door is unlocked and which is coupled to the fitting (11).
