[origin: WO2013110866A1] The invention relates to a method for cooling a fluid or a body by means of at least a first vapour compression circuit (10) containing a first heat transfer fluid and at least a second vapour compression circuit (20) containing a second heat transfer fluid, the method comprising: - measuring the temperature of the external surroundings; and - setting the temperature of the second heat-transfer fluid to evaporation, according to the temperature of the external surroundings. The invention also relates to an installation suited to implementing this method.
