[origin: WO2014191422A2] The invention relates to a clothing wire (13) for a clothing roller (10) of a carding machine. The clothing wire (13) extends in a wire longitudinal direction (1) and has a base segment (14), which is thicker transversely to the wire longitudinal direction (1) and from which a leaf segment (15) protrudes. A plurality of teeth (28) is formed on the leaf segment (15) along the clothing wire (13) in the wire longitudinal direction (1). Each tooth (28) has two leaf segment lateral surfaces (15a, 15b) adjoining the base segment. On at least one of the leaf segment lateral surfaces (15a, 15b), at least one projection (24) is formed on each tooth (28). The cross-sectional profile of the projection (24) is asymmetric and preferably has the contour of a nose.

Garniturdraht (13) für eine Garniturwalze (10) einer Kardiermaschine, wobei sich der Garniturdraht (13) in eine Drahtlängsrichtung (1) erstreckt und einen quer zur Drahtlängsrichtung (1) erstreckenden, breiteren Fußabschnitt (14) aufweist. Von dem Fußabschnitt (14) ragt ein im Vergleich zum Fußabschnitt (14) schmalerer Blattabschnitt (15) weg. Am Blattabschnitt (15) sind in Drahtlängsrichtung (1) entlang des Garniturdrahtes (13) mehrere Zähne (28) gebildet. Jeder Zahn (28) weist zwei sich an den Fußabschnitt (14) anschließende Blattabschnittsseitenflächen (15a, 15b) auf. An mindestens einer der Blattabschnittsseitenflächen (15a, 15b) ist an jedem Zahn (28) mindestens ein Vorsprung (24) ausgebildet. Das Querschnittsprofil des Vorsprungs (24) ist unsymmetrisch und hat vorzugsweise die Kontur einer Nase.
