Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013113047A1] The invention relates to an actuator (4) for a flap (3) on an item of furniture (1), comprising at least one actuating arm (6) that is mounted such that it can be pivoted between a closed position and an open position in order to move said flap (3), comprising a spring device (9) for the purpose of acting on the actuating arm (6), and comprising a transmission mechanism (11) for transmitting the force of said spring device (9) onto the actuating arm (6), an adjustment device (26) being provided by means of which said transmission mechanism (11) can be shifted between at least two operating positions (A, B). In a first operating position (A), the spring device (9) applies a closing force, in the direction of the closed position, onto the actuating arm (6) which is in an opening position immediately upstream of said closed position, and in a second operating position (B), when said actuating arm (6) is in the aforementioned, immediately-upstream opening position, the spring device (9) exerts a force which acts in the direction of the open position.
