Abstract (en)
A drum-type washing and drying machine according to the present invention includes: water tub (2) which has opening (7) in a front side of housing (1); drum (4); motor (10); air flow passage (16); heat pump device (17); and air blower (24). Heat pump device (17) is disposed in a lower portion of the inside of housing (1), and air blower (24) has fan accommodating portion (24e) and air exhaust portion (24f). Air blower (24) is connected in a communicating manner to heat pump device (17), and upper portion (24c) of fan accommodating portion (24e) is positioned above lower end portion (2a) of water tub rear portion (2c). Due to such a configuration , water tub (2) is disposed at a lower portion of the drum-type washing and drying machine so that both the miniaturization of housing (1) and the favorable drying performance can be realized simultaneously.
