Abstract (en)
A satellite signal distribution device (1) comprising input connectors (2), each configured to receive an intermediate satellite signal (11) having multiple transponders (10) from an input cable (3). The device also comprises an output connector (4) configured to transmit an output signal (18) to an output cable (13) and a controller (5) connected to input connectors (2) and the output connector (4). The controller (5) comprises transponder selection modules (6), each associated with a corresponding mode of operation. Each module is configured to generate the signal (18) such that it comprises one or more of the transponders (10) in function of the corresponding mode of operation. The device (1) also comprises a mode selection module (7) configured to provide the output signal of a selected module (6) to connector (4) according to a selected mode of operation. The module (7) is further configured to receive a dedicated mode selection command indicative for the selected mode of operation out of the plural modes of operation from a mode selection connector.
