[origin: WO2013119950A2] Disclosed are methods and compositions for detecting the presence of a cancer in a subject and assessing the efficacy of treatments for the same. The disclosed method use real-time polymerase chain reaction, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), in situ hybridization and/or multiplex polymerase chain reaction techniques to detect the presence of point mutations, truncations, or fusions of ROS1.
