Abstract (en)
Disclosed is an adapter (100) configured to attach an electronic identification device (109) to an inventory item having a universal attachment fitting. A first end of the adapter body is configured to permanently attach to the universal attachment fitting. A second end of the adapter body is configured to attach to a tool configured to attach to the universal attachment fitting. An electronic identification device is attached to the adapter body. The adapter body includes a blind bore (136), biasing member (113) and a retaining member (116), to facilitate attachment of the adapter to the inventory item. The adapter cover may include a fluorescent pigment.
