[origin: US2014373483A1] An apparatus for wrapping a stack of objects vertical side faces and a horizontal top face has a unit for wrapping a film wrapper around the stack such that respective sections of the wrapper extend upward from each of the side faces. A first welder welds ends the film wrapper together at one of the side faces of the stack. A fold-over device folding the film sections over onto the top face of the stack. A second welder welds the folded-over film sections together on the top face of the stack.

Vorrichtung zum Umhüllen von Gutstapeln, wobei eine Umhüllungseinrichtung (2) für die Umhüllung der Seitenflächen (3, 4, 5, 6) des Gutstapels (1) mit einer Folienbanderole (7) vorgesehen ist, wobei zumindest eine erste Schweißvorrichtung (8) zur Verschweißung von zumindest zwei Banderolenenden (9) im Bereich der Seitenflächen vorhanden ist. Weiterhin ist zumindest eine Umfaltvorrichtung (10) zum Umfalten von über die Oberseite des Gutstapels vorstehenden Folienabschnitten (12, 13, 14, 15) auf die Oberseite (11) des Gutstapels vorgesehen. Fernerhin ist zumindest eine zweite Schweißvorrichtung (16) zum Verschweißen der auf die Oberseite umgefalteten Folienabschnitt vorhanden.
