[origin: WO2013127442A1] A device (10) for filling and emptying a canister (42) for holding a substance with an opening comprising a body (12), wherein the body (12) is connectable to the canister (42) and at least partially insertable into the opening of the canister (42) in a vertical mounted state, a filling line (14) connectable to a fluid supply, wherein the filling line (14) extends at least partially through the body (12), and at least a first suction lance (28) extending through the body (12), wherein the device (10) comprises a backflow preventer (26), preventing a fluid supplied through the filling line (14) to be sucked back into the filling line (14). Due to the backflow preventer (26) no diluted and/or dissolved substance may flow back through the filling line (14) towards the fluid supply, preventing a contamination of the fluid supply.
