[origin: WO2015004122A1] Round plug connector unit (6, 6') for shielded electrical cables, having an insulating body (8) which is surrounded by a shielding sleeve (7) and in which a plurality of electrical socket-like and/or pin-like plug contacts (5, 5') are arranged in receiving chambers (16), wherein the shielding sleeve (7) is latched to the insulating body (8). According to the invention, the plug-side end (12) of the shielding sleeve (7) has an even number of sleeve segments (14) which extend in the axial direction, are separated by longitudinal slots (13) and are preferably designed alternately as short and long sleeve segments (14', 14''). Successive sleeve segments (14) preferably each have a uniform radial offset in an alternating direction in relation to one another, wherein the sleeve segments (14) of two shielding sleeves (7) of identical design can, according to the invention, be plugged one into the other with a rotational offset in the circumferential direction of 360 degrees divided by the number of sleeve segments (14).
