Hull for an ocean-going workboat, the hull comprising a bow, a front section and a rear section, the rear section of the hull is generally defined by a rear-upper wall segment and a rear-lower wall segment with a rearchine in between, the front section of the hull is generally defined by a front-upper wall segment, a front-intermediate wall segment and a front-lower wall segment respectively separated by an upper front-chine and a lower front-chine, the bow of the hull comprising an upper extending part defined by the front-upper wall segment and a deck of the boat, and comprising a lower extending part defined by the front-intermediate wall segment and the front-lower wall segment, wherein the front-intermediate wall segment extends from the lower extending part of the bow, where the front-intermediate wall segment has an outer normal pointing upward, to the rear-lower wall segment, having an outer normal pointing downward.
