[origin: WO2013139688A2] The explosion protection device (1) according to the invention serves as protection for a system arranged in a closed space, comprising a relief element which is arranged in a boundary wall and by means of which, during the occurrence of an explosion, a pressure relief occurs inside the space in that a gas flow is discharged from the space via the relief element. The boundary wall is adjoined by a housing (5), wherein at least one flame filter is arranged in the latter. The housing (5) is designed in such a way that a gas flow exiting the relief element is guided in the housing (5) and in the process passes through the flame filter.
