[origin: WO2013139772A1] The invention relates to a refrigerant compressor comprising a common housing; a screw compressor that is provided in the common housing, said screw compressor comprising a compressor housing, which is formed as a part of the common housing and which is equipped with at least one screw rotor bore, comprising at least one screw rotor arranged in the screw rotor bore in a rotatable manner about a rotational axis, comprising a suction-side bearing unit arranged on the compressor housing for the screw rotor, comprising at least one pressure-side bearing unit arranged on the compressor housing for the screw rotor, and comprising a housing window provided on the compressor housing for compressed refrigerant; and a first muffler unit arranged in the common housing. The aim of the invention is to further improve the refrigerant compressor with respect to the sound-damping capability. This is achieved in that the first muffler unit is arranged adjacently to the housing window, and the muffler unit has at least one chamber which lies between an inlet opening and an outlet opening and which expands transversely to a flow direction relative to the inlet opening and to the outlet opening.
