Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2013143713A1] The invention relates to a machine (100) for dewatering pulp (1), comprising a former (2) with a lower wire (3) and an upper wire (4), which, at least over certain lengths, form a twin wire zone (5) and which are guided over a deflection roller (7) with the pulp (1) which lies therebetween and has been applied to the lower wire (3) from a headbox (5), wherein a pre-dewatering zone (8) formed from a portion of the lower wire (3) is arranged upstream of the twin wire zone (5) in the direction (S) of movement of the lower wire (3), said pre-dewatering zone spanning a plane (8.E), wherein a further deflection roller (12) guiding both wires (3, 4) is arranged downstream of the deflection roller (7) in the direction (S) of movement of the lower wire (3), wherein both the deflection roller (7) and also the further deflection roller (12) are spatially arranged above the plane (8.E) spanned by the pre-dewatering zone (8). The machine (100) according to the invention is characterised in that at least one of the deflection rollers (7, 12), preferably both deflection rollers (7, 12), are designed with an open roller sleeve (7.M, 12.M) having at least one suction or pressure zone (16).
