Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2013144214A1] The present invention relates to an exhaust gas radiator (1) for an exhaust gas system (3) or to an exhaust gas recirculation system (4) of an internal combustion engine, having an exhaust gas path (5) which leads from an exhaust gas inlet (7) to an exhaust gas outlet (8), and having a coolant path (9) which is coupled in a heat-transferring fashion to the exhaust gas path (5). A reduction in soot deposits can be achieved if the exhaust gas path (5) has an inlet region (13) which comprises the exhaust gas inlet (7) and which is configured for an inlet cooling power, if the exhaust gas path (5) has downstream of the inlet region (13), an intermediate region (14) which is configured for an intermediate cooling power which is less than the inlet cooling power, and if the exhaust gas path (5) has, downstream of the intermediate region (14), an outlet region (15) which comprises an exhaust gas outlet (8) which is configured for an outlet cooling power which is greater than the intermediate cooling power.
