The die unit has a pressure plate (12), a punching die (14), and a die retaining plate (16). According to the invention, in order to reduce the production expenditure, the pressure plate (12) is arranged between the punching die (14) and the die retaining plate, wherein the pressure plate (12) acts on a shoulder (18) of the punching die (14) during a punching stroke.
