Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2013149641A1] Disclosed is a multifunctional joint for movably connecting three struts of a foldable frame, in particular for a foldable stroller frame comprising a handle part, two legs connected by a transverse strut, and a support strut that projects from the transverse strut. The multifunctional joint comprises a first joint element (40) on which a first strut of the frame can be mounted, and a second joint element (48) on which a second strut of the frame can be mounted. The two joint elements can pivot about a joint axis (56). The multifunctional joint further comprises a rotary element (68) which is mounted on the second joint element so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation (70) and to which a third strut can be connected, the axis of rotation of the rotary element running substantially parallel to the joint axis and being laterally offset thereto. The multifunctional joint finally comprises a link member (62), one end of which is mounted on the first joint element, eccentrically in relation to the joint axis, and the other end of which is mounted on the rotary element, eccentrically in relation to the axis of rotation. Said link member causes the rotary element to rotate about the axis of rotation thereof when the two joint parts pivot about the joint axis.
