Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013150093A1] The aim of the invention is to ensure the firing stability of a full-caliber training projectile (1) in an inexpensive manner, said training projectile comprising a solid head part (2) and a tubular fin body (3) which adjoins the rear side of the head part (2). According to the invention, this is achieved by designing the fin body (3) such that the propellant gases produced upon firing the training projectile (1) also act on the exterior (5) of the lateral wall (6) of the tubular fin body (3). For this purpose, a guide is provided in the rear region of the fin body (3), said guide comprising multiple web-shaped guiding elements (7) which are uniformly distributed over the circumference of the fin body (3). Furthermore, a sealing system (10) is arranged in the region of the solid head part (2) of the training projectile (1) in order to prevent the propellant gases from passing by the exterior of the training projectile (1) within the barrel.
