The control system includes means for modulating the torque setpoint, which are configured to generate a modulated torque setpoint and to provide the modulated torque setpoint to said electric machine, said modulated torque setpoint alternating between a low value (Chas), the absolute value of which is lower than the absolute value of said torque setpoint, and a high value (Chaut), the absolute value of which is greater than the absolute value of said torque setpoint, said high value and said speed corresponding to a second operating point of said electric machine for which the power output is greater than the first operating point.
