The switching distributor (1) has a third multi-pin plug contact connection (9) for connecting a switching unit having a plurality of connection contacts (13c) lying next to each other, which are arranged at a distance from the plug contacts (13a, 13b) of the first plug contact connection (6) and second plug contact connection (7) and the free ends of which point in a different direction than the plug contacts (13a, 13b) of the first and second plug contact connections (6, 7). At least one of the connection contacts (13c) of the third plug contact connection (9) is connected to an associated plug contact (13a) of the first plug contact connection (6) in an electrically conductive manner.
