Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass alle Auslasskanäle (4) und ein Abgaskrümmer (5) durch einen in dem Zylinderkopf eingegossenen Blechmantel (1) gebildet sind. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Zylinderkopfes einer Brennkraftmaschine, bei dem ein einteiliger Blechmantel (1) oder einzelne Mantelteile (2, 3) eines Blechmantels (1) zuerst zumindest abschnittsweise mit einer Beschichtung (8) und/oder Strukturierung versehen werden, dann in eine Gussform eingelegt und schließlich von einem Gussmaterial den Zylinderkopf bildend umgossen werden.
