[origin: WO2013156455A1] The invention relates to a stacker crane (12) for use in a shelf aisle (14) which is defined between two shelves (16-1, 16-2) standing opposite each other in a transverse direction (Z), comprising: an upper chassis (40) which can be coupled to an upper guiding rail (44); a lower chassis (38) which can be coupled to a lower guiding rail (42), said guiding rails (42, 44) extending along the shelf aisle (14) in a longitudinal direction (X); at least one mast (36) which connects the lower chassis (38) and the upper chassis (40) to each other in a height direction (Y); a load receiving means (30) for storing at least one storage product (26) into one of the shelves (16) in the transverse direction (Z) or for retrieving at least one storage product from one of the shelves (16), said load receiving means (30) being movable along the at least one mast (36) in a height-adjustable manner (32); and a damping unit (50) which has: a damping element (52), a jib (54), and preferably a central chassis (56); wherein the jib (54) is rigidly fixed to the at least one mast (36) and is connected to the central chassis (56) via the damping element (54) so as to be movable in the transverse direction (Z) in a damped manner, said central chassis being connectable to a central guiding rail (58) which is rigidly connected to one of the shelves (16-2) preferably at a central height and which extends along the shelf aisle (14) substantially in the longitudinal direction (X).
