Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013041187A1] The invention relates to a valve train (1) of an internal combustion engine, having at least one main camshaft (2), on which at least one cam carrier (3) which has valve actuation cams (5, 6, 7, 8) is provided in a manner fixed so as to rotate with said main camshaft (2), and so as to be displaceable axially between at least two axial positions, wherein, for the axial displacement by means of an actuator (31), the cam carrier (3) is assigned a switch guide plate (11) which has, on the circumference thereof, two guide plate tracks (23, 24) which run in opposite directions in the axial direction, cross over one another and have in each case one reversal point (28, 29). It is provided here that the reversal points (28, 29) are present such that they are offset in the circumferential direction with respect to one another. Furthermore, the invention relates to an internal combustion engine having a valve train (1).
